Emily Harrison: North Shore Expedition

North shore is like an escape on the island. Sometimes being down in Honolulu or even Waikiki is just, simply, too much. There’s so much noise, too much light, too much human development.

It’s too much.

Sometimes, you just need to get away and remember where you are.

We are on an island. So why doesn’t it feel like that?

Well, a trip to North Shore will cure that city sickness right away.

Emily Harrison: A Taste of Midwestern Autumn

I’m sure everyone has seen the obnoxious decorations in stores around us, already celebrating Christmas, in September. It’s kind of ridiculous.
But, even if you have your own fall traditions, you can always start more for you and your friends or your family.

But, even if you’re in Hawaii, you can see the mood changing. Even if the seasons aren’t, and if you’re from the mainland like me, your internal clock is changing. So, in order to prepare for the upcoming fall season, you need to prepare your home and body.

Emily Harrison: HPU Libraries Host Escape Room Event

Escape rooms have been buzzing in the past decade. They have increased tremendously in popularity (especially with young adults) over the years.

And most people will want a review on the escape room HPU just held. And they’ll get one.

But first: upon hearing from the staff and participants, the library staff at Hawaii Pacific University needs to be thanked for all of the effort they put into the events for the students at HPU.
