The approaching end of the semester makes me think about my academic path throughout the semester including my favorite moments and acquired knowledge and how my understanding of writing as a professional ability transformed.
When the semester started I doubted how much I would enjoy creating news content. Writing has always been my least favored activity and I felt uncertain about this experience. The entire semester brought me a total transformation regarding my understanding of writing for publications. This semester allowed me to experience first-hand what it means to write for publication while learning the importance of responsibility and time management.
Writing match recaps turned out to be my most satisfying part of this experience. I found great satisfaction in writing down my emotions and thoughts after each match. The immediacy of writing about recent events created an exciting sensation which made each piece feel new and deeply personal. Writing rarely presented difficulties because my thoughts flowed effortlessly from my abundance of ideas. Future years will bring joy as I recall writing match recaps while actively participating in tennis competitions that mean so much to me.
Of course, not everything came easy. The initial period of using WordPress along with mastering its multiple formatting features proved difficult to manage. The early mistakes I made in posting articles did not stop me from becoming better throughout the semester. My rising confidence enabled me to move beyond my comfort zone while fully accepting the process of learning.
During this semester I received numerous valuable lessons which exceeded my initial expectations. Through constant practice I have learned that I possess the ability to succeed at any goal I decide to pursue. I feel blessed to have joined this class and appreciate all the valuable lessons this experience has taught me.
