Popular American rapper Matthew Raymond Hauri, better known as Yung Gravy, is set to perform at Honolulu nightclub The Republik on March 1st 2023.

The 26-year old artist is currently on tour, with Honolulu being his first North American show of this tour.

Born in Rochester, Minnesota, the artist first gained recognition with his SoundCloud hit “Mr. Clean” which is now RIAA-certified double platinum.

His music is a mix of modern trap and hip-hop with inspiration often taken from 1950s and 60s era soul music as well as 70s and 80s funk.

He often samples famous bits from older songs in his music, including “Mr. Sandman” by The Chordettes which is featured in “Mr. Clean” and “Right Back Where We Started From” by Maxine Nightingale in his song “Gravy Train.” His songs are bold, upbeat, entertaining and catchy, with many of his songs being well-known across social media platforms such as TikTok.

The Republik is located at 1349 Kapiolani Blvd #30th, right next to the Ala Moana Plaza. For guests 21 years and older the doors open at 6pm, and at 7pm for everyone else, with the show kicking off at 8pm.

Tickets start at $45 for general admission and can be purchased through the official tour website or on The Republik website, which also includes more information about the event.
